The Utah Trip (part 2)

My mom bought a Bob the Builder tent/truck/plaything and Cohen loved it! So did his little boys cousins. We ended up having to put it away because they loved it a little too much.

Just a cute shot of Cohen.

Before we moved to Oregon, Cohen wasn't really old enough to want to play with others. I thought it was so great to see him actually playing with his 3 year old cousin Tanner. They started up this game of ball on their own.

Getting ready to eat dinner. I guess Tanner needed an appetizer. Kids are funny. Tage is the littlest one here (4 months younger than Cohen) and then Grace who is sadly the only girl cousin.

Tage and Cohen thought it would be a great idea to dig in Nana's pots of dirt. Luckily, there wasn't anything planted in them yet. It was also great to see these 2 play.

With all the digging, and sticky watermelon, the cousins were very, very dirty. What a perfect opportunity to take a cousin's bath.

While we stayed at the Sower's house (Josh's parents) Brian, Elise, and baby Preston came to visit. This was a good glimpse for me to see how Cohen is going to do with a little baby. I was pretty impressed. Preston got a little cranky near the end of their stay, and Cohen was very concerned. They decided to pack up and go after awhile, and Cohen helped settle Preston right down. This is a picture of Cohen rocking Preston in his car seat, and helping sing while Elise sang.

We were lucky enough to be able to go to a Real Salt Lake soccer game while we were in Utah. Cohen still had his attire from last season, so we were set to go. He was actually interested in what was happening on the field for a few minutes at a time, a few times. He made sure to tell us about how the men were throwing the ball, kicking the ball, and doing headers. I've got some kind of athlete on my hands here. I just wonder which sport will be his cup of tea.

Dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen with Josh's family to celebrate Dani's birthday was great. Cohen LOVES his grandpa, grandma, and cousin Takaiya.

One of the things Dani taught Cohen was the phrase "Nice to meet you!" while shaking hands. Cohen still loves this. He had to try it out on Josh's grandpa. Those 2 adore each other. It's pretty cute.

We went swimming a few times during our stay in Utah. I wish I would have captured some shots at the pool, but it's always risky taking a digital camera near a big swimming pool. Cohen discovered that being thrown in the air by his Uncle Mike and landing in daddy's arms was quite a thrill. He also thoroughly enjoyed simply being put on the edge of the pool, and then jumping into arms. He did it over, and over, and over, and over.....
This picture is when we went swimming with our friends Robbie, Lillian, and their daughter Libby (same age as Cohen) Severensen. I just couldn't get the 2 kids to take a picture together.

The final day we were they was bitter... not so much sweet. Josh and I both wish we lived back home right now, but we are happy that Josh is going to school, and building our future.
We went to visit Debbie at work and had a nice time walking around on the grounds.

Oh, mom. We'll live near to each other again. It's always sad to leave. Thanks for the great stay in Utah!
