A Walk In the Park

Josh and I were spontaneous! If you know us - you know that's pretty rare. We decided to have an evening in the park after work a few weeks ago, and enjoyed a picnic dinner and the cool breeze. It was a perfect evening. Cohen loved being able to walk/run around on the grass. Before we got there I was pretty sure he'd have a hard time walking around on the uneven surfaces at Murray Park, but he did great! We all enjoyed our BBQ pork sandwiches and then had fun walking around, looking at the ducks, and watching other kids play (Cohen was really into that). I think some of the pictures turned out priceless.

I think this picture illustrates that it's just hard to let go as a parent sometimes. Cohen is only 11 months old and I'm already feeling it! In this picture Josh wanted to hold Cohen's hand and walk, but Cohen was just off on his own, and didn't need our help.

Camping in July

We went camping with Josh's family in mid July and had a blast.

Cohen was happy to play in the pack n' play Grandma brought. I just love his eyes in this picture!
"You want me to do what?!"
One of the best parts of camping in my opinion is the food! We go all out and always have leftovers. I also love that you can see cousin Takaiya playing with Cohen in the background. Those two love each other so much!

Oh, what a cute family picture!

This is how Cohen usually is in Grandma's arms - happy as can be.

Josh and Cohen were both down for naps, so Andrea decided to take a little nature walk. I enjoy the little things like finding a beautiful little flower all by itself.

This is Andrea happy to be outside in nature. She can't get enough of it - and it always brightens her spirits.

Takaiya (Dani's little girl) had a great time camping too. We liked to go see what we could find, like sticks, moss, and other wonderful things to a 2 year old girl.

Oh - just a little baby in the baby ferns.

This is Cohen bending down to give his daddy a kiss through the net. He did it over and over again.
Camping was fun. It's been too long since we've been as a family and we hope to squeeze in one more trip before the warm season is all over.

More on Jessie's wedding in June

I thought I'd play a little catch up for the summer. This is more on Jessie's wedding.

Grandpa Wayne-o and Cohen showed up to the casual wedding dinner at Famous Dave's wearing matching outfits. Cohen had a blast - and come to think of it - so did Wayne!
This is Dani getting Jessie all ready for her special day. Dani is a pro at lacing.

Did you ever think two guys could be so happy at a wedding?

Mommy and Cohen dancing - and Cohen thought it would be a perfect time to make a funny face.

Cohen on the dance floor in his handsome tux. What babe wouldn't want this little hunk?

Josh and I were happy to be there, and happy to share in Jessie and Robbie's wonderful day.

Dani leading a toast.

Cutting the cake that Grandpa Wes made. It was oh, so good.

10 Month Cohen

This is our cute Cohen that we love so much. Hooray to the portrait studio for hiring a guy with shaggy mop hair to shake at Cohen. He thought it was hilarious so I think that's one of the reasons the pictures turned out really cute. This is Cohen walking for the camera. It was fun to take the pictures because we'd start him at the back drop, and then he'd walk toward the camera as the photographer tried to get as many pictures as he could before Cohen was on top of him.
It sure is unusual to see Cohen sitting now a days. He took his first steps at 8 1/2 months and and has quickly progressed ever since. I hardly ever see him crawl anymore. He's on his feet all day.

Josh and I feel so blessed to have such a sweet, cute and intelligent baby. He is a wonderful addition to our family.
