Easter Time

Easter celebrations are so much better with a child! I know I enjoyed it more because of Cohen. We got to unofficially meet the Easter Bunny (that's why there are no pictures) at the mall the week before Easter came. I thought for sure Cohen would freak out like he did with Santa, but he LOVED the Easter Bunny! They blew kisses and hugged and talked about the upcoming visit and egg hunt.

Easter morning was fun. The Easter Bunny brought Cohen a train from Ikea. He likes trains a lot, so it was no surprise that he liked this one too. We did discover, however, that it works better on the hard floor than the carpet. Cohen also tried to find out how many Cadburry mini eggs he could stuff in his mouth before he chocked or mom and dad noticed. I think there were probably over 6 in his little mouth. This boy loves chocolate just as much as his parents. I didn't even bother buying jelly beans.
Josh is so cute. We were at the grocery store together and he says to me: "I think it would be fun to make rice crispy treats in the shape of eggs and then cover them with chocolate. Then we could give them to people. What do you think, honey?" My mouth about dropped, but it shouldn't have. Josh is always coming up with nice things. So we followed through with his very crafty idea. He did pretty much all the work.

We just had to dye eggs. I enjoyed this the most. I think it brought me back to my childhood.

This is Josh sharing his fine artistry skills with Cohen.

The stake held a fun primary activity for Easter. Most of the time Cohen loved it and did great. For some reason whenever he sees a large open space like a cultural hall he must run and run and run. Once we overcame that, the activity was fun.
The stake was smart to separate the egg hunt by age group. The nursery age kids had an egg hunt all of their own in the nursery room.

It wasn't much of a "hunt." As you can see there are eggs laying freely on the ground and all over. But Cohen was able to find some between the chairs. Yay! I think my boy is smart.

He has discovered stickers, and he likes them! We practice spelling and saying the letters in his name. It was fun to combine all these concepts to make an Easter egg hunt bag.

Do I look like his mom? I don't really think so. He's too cute for me. :)

This is Cohen in action hunting for eggs.
