I'm happy to report that things worked out pretty well. I left at 8:00 pm on Easter night, and arrived in Spokane Valley, WA at Jenny's house at about 1:30 am. Although Cohen normally goes to bed around 8:00 he stayed up in the car until about 9:00. Stopping for gas woke him, but he went back to sleep fairly easily. Jenny was so sweet to request that I call her every hour while driving to make sure I stayed alert and awake, and Josh was just a phone call away if I needed him. I'll be honest, about the 1st hour of the trip was terrible to drive. It was on an interstate that was going up a curvy canyon road, it was dark, construction, narrow lanes, pouring rain, wheel routes in the pavement, hydroplaning, headlights from on-coming traffic on the dark, wet windshield.... but I made it. The ride home was better. Cohen slept better, it didn't rain much, and I knew what I was in for.
Jenny and her family were so gracious to Cohen and I. We had tons of fun going out and doing things, and also just relaxing at the house.
We drove 30 minutes to Idaho to see lake Cour De Lane and walk around. It was beautiful and windy and cold. There was a big moose statue.... I'm not sure of the history of it, but it looked like it would be fun to climb on. Cohen didn't want to much, so here we have Grace (a couple months younger than Cohen), Isaac, and Jenny.
We have to take a girl shot every time.
We went down the "longest boardwalk" With strollers and all, and tried not to freeze.
On another day we went to a park in down town Spokane that had lots of fun little things to do. Jenny and I both wish we could have stayed longer, but it started to hail and become lunch and nap time way too quickly.
This carousal was indoors. Cohen loved the idea of horses and going around and around, but was pretty nervous to be on a horse and actually going.

We all had fun on the 100+ year old toy.
