Christmastime in Utah!

Our family was so blessed to be given the gift to come back home to Utah for Christmas. It was a little scary to plan and travel, but it turned out so well, and I'm so glad we went. Sweet Parker went on his first airplane ride at 3 weeks old.

Cousin Kaiya and Cohen have always been best buds. Now that Cohen's a little older than when they used to hang out all the time, it's even cuter to see them together. This picture below wasn't staged. They just felt like watching Cinderella together and eating popcorn. I love what Kaiya brings out in Cohen. He's less of a run-around crazy kid when they are together.

Karen was SOOOO excited to meet and be able to hold Parker. She really loves babies and does quite well with them. I'm impressed with her knowledge of how to hold them and love them. She can calm them down when fussy and everything. She also loves to change diapers.... I wish I could take full advantage of that! She's just not quite thorough enough for the real thing yet.

Cohen really didn't remember snow from over a year ago in Utah, so he was very excited about being able to play in it. We got some good snow while we were out there! (I also found out that his beenie was entirely too small.)

We made ourselves TWO snowmen. The first one fell down when he barely nudged it. I guess mommy is a little out of practice!

I tried to explain snow angels to him. He was a good sport. He didn't complain, but he obviously didn't like the snow falling on his face and eyes while in the process. He also didn't really understand the concept of moving his arms and legs up and down at first. When I asked him to do this he lifted them up in the air. Explaining things to a 2 year old is fun and brings a smile to my face.

Cohen wanted to be all wrapped up like his brother Parker.

Unwrapping jamies on Christmas Eve.

All of Parker's stocking stuffers went in his little seat as they came out. I wish I had a picture of all of them. It was pretty funny.

Cohen's big Christmas present was this Walle robot. He's only seen the movie once, and we didn't really get it for the "Walle" aspect, mostly just because it was a really cool robot with a remote. It dances and turns and drives and talks and everything. It has only added to Cohen's excitement about robots that all started at home depot in July.

I'm really sad, but we didn't put up our own Christmas tree at our home in Oregon. I'm like super sad. Brand new baby, finals, packing, and going to Utah 2 weeks before Christmas kind of stopped us from putting one up. It's logical but sad. So, here's the Sowers/Johnson tree that we got to hang out with for a couple of weeks.

Kaiya got a baby bunk bed. Cohen thought it was really cool. I love his face here.

Then someone had the idea to put the real baby in the baby bed. It's pretty cute.

Debbie and Wayne promised to not over-do it this year, and only get one gift for each other. Wayne was so proud of himself to put many wrapped gifts all in one big wrapped gift box. Silly Wayne.

Daddy and Parker on Christmas.

My cute boys in front of Nana's tree. Cohen really does love Parker.

Craziness at Nana's house on Christmas. Cohen is dancing in the background of course. That's why he's a blur. My mom has a bundle of little Christmas animals that have push button songs. The grand kids love them.

Karen prides herself in helping disperse gifts. That's good, because she's the only one who can interpret her secret code on the gifts sometimes. For example.... Teresa is T.S., Tage was T.G., I'm A.W. (for Andrea Watson, of course) etc.

Oh, I love my family. Wish we could have seen John's family too.

And that's Christmas time. Full of sickness and family and fun. :)
