September break with Daddy

Our family loves having 2 week breaks between each quarter! It is so fun to hang out as a family, take it easy, and go explore new places too.

We went to several different parks. Cohen is part monkey, and Josh and I love being outside so that always works well.

We went to OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). Cohen kind of understood some stuff. He could tell this prehistoric skeleton looked like a dog, and that it was really old.

The museum is located right off the river, and one of the things you can do is go outside to a submarine they have there. We didn't take the tour inside (of course they charge you extra for that!) but we enjoyed looking at it. Cohen thinks it's pretty cool there is a kind of boat that goes under the water that you can't see.

On another day we went to a farm called the "Plumper Pumpkin." Had it been closer to Halloween I would have actually liked to pick out our pumpkins here. We had tons of fun though! Cohen was pretty sad no one was allowed to climb on this old tractor....

but there was a guy outside mowing the lawn that let Cohen have a turn. That was pretty neat for Cohen.

They had a play area. Looks like fun boy stuff to me.

Pretty flowers.

Plenty of pumpkins.

They also had farm animals to see, huge slippery slides to go down, and other fun stuff. It was a perfect sunny day, and a very enjoyable time with my family.

Cohen gave his daddy a couple of Star Wars coloring books for his birthday. After Cohen learned who Darth Vader was, Josh got out his Darth Vader helmet to show him, and thought this was really cute. I'm not so sure, and Cohen was really frightened. But now he talks about him like he's a person too. Silly boys.

This video is from the museum.
