Once upon a Halloween

It's time to catch up a bit on some major things that took place while I ignored the fact that I try to keep an updated blog.

Cohen's preschool went to a pumpkin patch on a field trip.  Parker, Baylee, and I joined in too.  A pumpkin patch Las Vegas style is so much different from Oregon!

Next in our efforts to have a fun Halloween was paining mini pumpkins.  We got these for free from the field trip.  Perfect!  The boys had so much fun!

Ah, yes.  Cohen is wearing his eye patch.  We're hopefully done with that soon!

Of course, we had to carve pumpkins.  Cohen thinks the insides are too gooey and disgusting to touch.  He gets really grossed out.  However, he loved coming up with a face and a SWORD on his jack-o-lantern.  That was really important to him.

Parker is eating the raw pumpkin carvings.  Yes, he really liked it and we had to tell him to stop eventually.

Happy Boys!

I really enjoy sewing costumes for some reason, but it's way too easy to get in over my head.  After counseling with Josh, I decided to buy a costume for Parker, make a costume for Cohen (which was a simple project, not every piece was from scratch) and make Baylee's costume.  I bought a witch hat for myself, and called it good.

I did make Baylee's costume from scratch, and patterned the under-onesie from one she already had.  Sometimes sewing little things is harder than sewing big things, I learned.

Staying up way too late to sew.  It just comes with the deal.

Just in case you weren't sure... Parker is Super Man, of course, Cohen is Jake from "Jake and the Neverland Pirates," and Baylee is Tinkerbell.
